New Bicycle/Pedestrian Lanes Announced In Roosevelt

Roosevelt City made an exciting announcement on Wednesday. There have been new bicycle and pedestrian lanes added throughout the Roosevelt community. “These lanes are another step toward making Roosevelt a more bicycle and pedestrian friendly city,” shares the announcement. “We hope to eventually connect the Cottonwood Creek nature trail system to bicycle/pedestrian lanes to create even more opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors.” Motorists and bicyclists are urged to learn and remember Utah traffic laws. There is no parking or driving in bicycle lanes. The exceptions to that are crossing a bicycle lane to turn into an intersection, street, alley, driveway, or parking area and while responding to striping, traffic control devices, or emergency conditions. Finally, please note that bicycle and pedestrian lanes will not be located on both sides of the road. Please pay attention to road markings and signage and remember that motorists must yield to bicyclists/pedestrians.
