The community is invited to attend local Memorial Day Services. The American Legion in Vernal is hosting a Memorial Day presentation at the war memorials in front of the Uintah County building on Highway 40 on Monday at noon. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this special ceremony. The Roosevelt American Legion program at the Roosevelt Cemetery also begins at noon on Monday and will focus on honoring those who lost their lives serving our country. As a reminder to those visiting local cemeteries to place flowers and personal items on headstones, please remember to remove all items before your cemetery’s cleanup day. The Roosevelt Cemetery is asking that all items be cleared, including shepherd’s hooks, before June 6th. Items that are not removed will be thrown away.
