A fun time on the playground took a terrible turn for an 8-year-old Vernal boy this spring and the community is rallying to help. A fall from a set of monkey bars in April caused the unimaginable for Treyson Johnson. He suffered 2 strokes and was life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake where, 6 weeks later, he still remains. The Johnson family has stayed near Treyson as he has fought for his life and thankfully, is now undergoing rehabilitation to get stronger with the goal of coming home. In the meantime, the community is hoping to ease the burden of the accumulating medical bills and a raffle with some amazing items, including a 6.5 Creedmoor, has been organized. Tickets can be purchased at Jiffy Pawn in Vernal, Jones Paint and Glass, or through Venmo @Amy-Roundy with Treyson’s name and your phone number in the note. If interested in adding to the raffle items or if you have questions, please call Dallas Roundy at 435-773-8705.
