Several local schools have taken time to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Vernal Middle School was among them. “We loved bringing a little color, culture, and tradition to VMS as we got ready to celebrate Día de los Muertos!” shared the announcement. “Our space was transformed with colorful decorations, meaningful displays, and thoughtful details that helped bring this special cultural tradition to life.” Discovery Elementary also celebrates this Mexican tradition of honoring loved ones who have passed away. “It is a time for families and communities to remember those they love through colorful decorations, flowers, candles, photographs, and special foods,” shares the Discovery announcement. “Día de los Muertos is not a day of sadness, but a celebration of life, family, culture, and the memories that live on in our hearts.” See pictures from each school's display shared on the Uintah School District Facebook page.
