The COVID-19 Transmission Index update reports Duchesne County and Uintah County at the High Transmission Index Level and Daggett County at the Low Level. According to Thursday’s press release, there has been to date 5,556 total COVID-19 cases in the TriCounty area and there are currently 384 active cases. Locally there were 20 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations in the past seven days and two new COVID-19 related deaths. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 12 percent and there were 121 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 23 percent and there were 123 cases, and Daggett County was 50 percent with 10 cases. Statewide total ICU utilization was 85 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization was 32 percent.
