Labor Day weekend has some competition for your time and Rangely, Colorado is proving a worthy competitor. The town is having its 75th Anniversary of Rangely’s incorporation and plans are in place to celebrate in style as part of the 41st Annual SeptemberFest. The parade is aiming to be bigger and better than ever. “With this year being an historic event, the town’s 75th anniversary of incorporation, we hope to bring back floats to a greater degree!” shares the announcement. “Don’t forget the theme ‘Staying Alive After 75’.” The SeptemberFest kicks off Saturday, September 4th, with the Uintah Railway Tour, an all day event, and activities also going all day in town including a bike rally, open house at ‘The Tank’, a chili cook off, carnival, and fireworks. Sunday includes the jackpot fishing derby, ice cream social, cribbage tournament, dinner and a movie. Monday, September 6th, is another full day with the fireman’s pancake breakfast, the parade, car show, BBQ, duck race, and Chris Peterson Concert.
