Thanksgiving weekend included countless opportunities to ring in the holidays with fun and activities during Holly Days. The Holiday Fair held at the Uintah Conference Center brought its own very special Christmas feeling with its display of a live nativity scene. The beautifully simple production ran throughout the day on Friday and Saturday with different actors and volunteer families playing the silent roles while narration of the
Christmas story
played. “We had actors ranging from less than 6 years old as shepherd boys to adults playing Mary and Joseph,” shares participant Daniel Jackson. “None of the actors have lines but so much is shared with body language of the love and spirit of the season which is the spirit of Christ. Everything we heard was that it was a positive experience for the actors and audience with many hearts touched.” This was the third year the Holiday Fair featured the live nativity organized by Vernal Theatre: LIVE. Many community members visited the conference center for the Trees for Charity tree viewing and were able to experience the live nativity as a bonus.
