Home a Total Loss in Duchesne County Christmas Day Fire

It was a devastating end to a Christmas Day for a Duchesne County family. The Duchesne Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire after midnight at 24991 West Rock Creek Road. “On arrival firefighters found the Residence, Garage and an RV heavily involved with fire,” shares the Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department. “Firefighters and emergency responders worked through the night to contain and extinguish the fire. Cause of the fire has not been determined at this time. All of the occupants and pets were able to exit the residence without injury, however, the home and contents were a total loss.” Donations for this family are being accepted at “Ivie Family Fundraiser” through Facebook pay. Other agencies that assisted with the incident include Altamont Fire Department, Tabiona Fire Department, Fruitland Fire Department, Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Duchesne EMS, and Central Dispatch.
