The Uintah County Heritage Museum will soon have a unique display that will bring attention to the rich history of the Green River and Colorado River Basin. The Colorado River Basin Rafting group excitedly shared this week that the Reynolds family has officially donated two cataract boats that were built by A.K. Reynolds in the late 1940s. Reynolds name is among those respected as the pioneers of river expeditions in the area with Reynolds running trips on the upper Green River from the 1940s until the early 1960s. The two Reynolds-made boats have been in storage since the 1960s but are reportedly in remarkable shape. It is hoped the boats will be on display in their new home in Vernal by the end of the 2022 summer.
