Golden Age Center Changing Policy and Opening Its Doors

Please help spread the word to those interested in attending the Golden Age Center. Starting October 4th, all are welcomed into the Golden Age Center in Vernal. Since reopening, the policy had been that to come inside and participate, patrons had to be fully vaccinated but that requirement has now been removed. According to Health District Director Alicen Hatch, the Golden Age Center is not defined as a health facility and therefore does not have that requirement. CDC guidelines are still followed and masks and social distancing are still recommended but they are not mandated. “We want to keep people safe and we also want more people to get to socialize,” shares Hatch. While the starting date for the change is officially October 4th, those interested in coming this week will not be turned away.
