Stewart Lake Fire Burning in Jensen

A fire in Jensen initially threatened structures before crews intervened. According to UtahFireInfo.gov, the Stewart Lake Fire started on Monday at 3:45pm. Fire behavior and direction were initially more serious before the fire behavior shifted to minimal. While multiple commenters online believed the fire was from a controlled burn, Utah Fire Info officials responded that this was not a controlled burn. Its estimated size as of Monday evening was 300 acres and was 0 percent contained. Officials did not report the cause on Monday and the Stewart Lake Fire was labeled as under investigation.
