TriCounty Health’s Diabetes Prevention program has helped many local community members and new rounds of the course are starting up this month. Health Educator Daniel Jackson emphasizes that it is the little things we change and stay consistent on that can add up to be big changes to benefit our health. The health department’s Diabetes Prevention program aims to help individuals on that healthy journey by providing weekly classes starting January 10th in Vernal and January 25th in Roosevelt. “You’re not alone in these classes,” shares Jackson. “You set your own goals, support fellow participants, see the results that you want to see, and get guidance from lifestyle coaches to help you stay on track to prevent diabetes, lose some weight, stay active, get proper sleep, and manage stress.” And if you’re on the fence, Jackson says this is the last opportunity for this class to be free to you. There will be low cost implemented in the future. For more information, visit www.tricounthealth.com
