Fire Weather Watch And Red Flag Warnings In Effect

by | Jun 16, 2025 | News | 0 comments

High temperatures and fire weather watches continue for the region with Uintah County Emergency Management sharing that a ‘Red Flag Warning’ has also been added today.  Much drier air moved into the area over the weekend which resulted in fire weather watches issued due to the afternoon breezes and low humidity. That elevated fire danger conditions continue into this week. In addition to western Colorado, the Red Flag Warning issued for today is in effect from 1pm to 8pm and includes most of Uintah County, a large portion of Duchesne County and the easternmost area of Daggett County. A Red Flag Warning means there are critical fire weather conditions due to gusty winds, low humidity, and critical fuels. Triple digits highs are possible for valley locations today.
