The Duchesne County Commission passed a Resolution this week supporting Operation Green Light for Veterans so once again this year, green lights will be shining from participating locations in Duchesne County. The National Association of Counties and other organizations encourage county governments across the nation to lead the way by passing a county resolution and then choosing buildings and areas in their jurisdiction to light up green for the week leading up to Veterans Day. Duchesne County passed their Resolution 26-08 on October 19th in order to “recognize the importance of honoring all those who made immeasurable sacrifices to preserve freedom.” The green lights to be on display from November 4th through the 11th are just one of many ways Veterans will be honored and recognized on and around Veteran’s Day. Businesses and community members are invited to participate.
