Interview: Incumbent U.S. House District Candidate Celeste Maloy Discusses Current Topics

Listen

Utah’s 2nd Congressional District representative Celeste Maloy called into the Newstalk KVEL studio for an interview this week as the General Election approaches. With new district boundaries being implemented in January 2027, Maloy is the incumbent Republican candidate on the November General Election ballot for the U.S. House District 3 seat. Maloy had plenty to share on hot topics during the interview. Asked about the price of diesel and gasoline, Maloy is feeling it like everyone else as she drives around the state. She said she knows high gas prices are always blamed on whichever party is in power at the moment but emphasized that this is a policy failure. The product is in high demand but there are only a few places refining diesel therefore driving prices up and that, says Maloy, is a result of left wing policy. She noted that she believes gas prices will begin to go down if the U.S. can complete their mission in Iran. Maloy also discussed work with the Energy Caucus, water issues, the election, and balancing regulation of AI.
