Delays to Kick in on Highway 40 Construction

Travel delays are about to begin on the Highway 40 widening project in Duchesne County. UDOT crews are working to widen the road to five lanes from 6250 South in Myton to Pole Line Road in Roosevelt. Thus far, all lanes of traffic have been left open but that will soon change. According to UDOT, shoulder closures in some locations will begin while workers or equipment are present. Lane closures will begin as soon as Wednesday, June 1st. The highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 6250 South to Ioka Junction in order to improve safety and provide space for trucks and equipment to operate in the work zone. “The speed limit in the work zone has been reduced to 55 miles per hour,” notes UDOT. “Please slow down and drive safely.”
