A Roosevelt family is grappling with major losses within the last week and friends of the family are inviting the community to help if they can. A GoFundMe has been set up under the name “Help A Family Rebuild” after this Roosevelt family, who prefers to not be named at this time, had their home burn down on Monday. News of the tragedy reached them while they were out of town mourning another loss. “While attending her father’s funeral, she received a phone call to inform her that they had lost their home due to a fire,” shares their family friend Mike Epperson. “The house and all contents were a complete loss. They have no clothes, no money….nothing except for the vehicle they were driving and the clothes they had on while attending the father’s funeral.” Duchesne County officials confirmed the incident of the house fire and that it was a total loss. Friends are trying to raise money for basic needs and possibly to get them into a camp trailer so they have somewhere of their own as they will receive nothing through insurance or otherwise to rebuild. Look up “Help A Family Rebuild” on www.GoFundMe.com for more information and to donate.
