The numbers are in and 2017 proved to be a great year for tourism. According to Uintah County Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp, Dinosaur National Monument had over 315,000 visitors in 2017.

Uintah Basin Water Summit a Success
The Uintah Basin Water Summit welcomed state and local leaders to the Grace Event Center in Roosevelt on Wednesday. Many speakers addressed water issues in the Basin and of course the low snowpack was a topic of concern.

January is National Radon Action Month and TriCounty Health Department is encouraging residents to test their home for radon levels. Radon is a colorless, odorless, naturally occurring toxic gas that is emitted from minerals in the ground.
Team Uintah Recognizes W.J. Wamsley
Team Uintah is recognizing an individual who devoted a large part of his life to supporting the youth in Uintah School District and continues to do so. W.J. Wamsley taught 20 years at Todd Elementary and West Junior High School but even after retirement, Mr. Wamsley continues to volunteer his time in the schools.
