Local Teachers Providing “Beyond the Average Classroom Experience”

Many local teachers are known for their commitment in the classroom and attention to students. Principal of Uintah Middle School Christy Nerdin says Bethany Hansen and Jason Pierce are two such teachers that “go beyond the average classroom experience.” Bethany Hansen teaches 8th grade language arts and has implemented a letter exchange between her students and youth in Italy.

Uintah Wrestling Finishes Season with Second Place State Finish

After a great season, Uintah Utes Wrestling competed well at state securing a 2nd place team finish. Uintah had a really good year, shares Coach Gregg Stensgard, winning their Region, Division, and Tournament of Champions. They were also undefeated in Duals. Their 2nd place finish at the state tournament had 12 state placers from the Ute team including two state champions, a runner up, and a lot of wrestlers placing fourth through sixth place.

Elk Downs Helicopter; Fruitland EMTs First to Respond

In what amounted to a freak accident, an elk downed a helicopter near Currant Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County on Monday around 4:38pm. Highway 40 Accident Near Eagle View Elementary

An accident occurred on Highway 40 near Eagle View Elementary on Tuesday morning when a pickup truck trying to turn east onto Highway 40 pulled out in front of a car. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the car was traveling westbound and the driver of the truck was turning from 2540 West onto the highway when it was hit broadside.
