Highway 40 Accident Near Eagle View Elementary

An accident occurred on Highway 40 near Eagle View Elementary on Tuesday morning when a pickup truck trying to turn east onto Highway 40 pulled out in front of a car. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the car was traveling westbound and the driver of the truck was turning from 2540 West onto the highway when it was hit broadside.

Elk Downs Helicopter; Fruitland EMTs First to Respond

In what amounted to a freak accident, an elk downed a helicopter near Currant Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County on Monday around 4:38pm. The crash occurred just over the Duchesne County line and Fruitland EMS was the first to respond. “We had 3 EMTs respond,” explains UBMC EMS Director Von Johnson. “They checked out the pilot and copilot and they were fine.

The Duchesne County Commission discussed issues facing local beekeepers during their Monday Commission meeting but the topic has been ongoing since last year. “Concerns were brought to us last year by local beekeepers,” shares Commissioner Ron Winterton.
