Counties and TriCounty Health File Joint Lawsuit Against Opioid Manufacturers

Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett County have joined with TriCounty Health Department in filing a joint lawsuit against “Big Pharma” opioid manufacturers and distributors. According to the June 7th press release, the 243-page Complaint states that the opioid crisis was created by misinformation, false claims, and marketing generated by the manufacturers and distributors of drugs.

Residents at Silver Pines Condominiums in Vernal were shocked Saturday morning to discover a massive hole in the outer wall of a first floor rental unit. According to Vernal City Police, officers were dispatched to 860 South Vernal Avenue at 7:15am on June 9th regarding extensive damage caused when a vehicle collided with the front of Apartment #R103.

Uintah County Library Director Sam Passey took to Facebook a week ago announcing that the Duchesne County Library group had more children signed up for their Summer Reading Program and urged Uintah County residents to sign up and get reading.
