Stensgard was recently named the 2018 – 2019 4A Coach of the Year by the Utah High School Athletic Association having served as the head wrestling coach at Uintah High School since 1994 as well as working as a teacher of physical education and health at Uintah High School.

The trial is wrapping up for the Moffat County High School teacher and coach who was charged in 2017 with 10 felony counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child over a sexting relationship with a student that allegedly included sexual images and videos. 36-year-old Justin Folley was teaching high school in Craig and coaching the boys varsity baseball team when he was placed on leave in 2017 from both teaching and coaching.

Elk Lodge Free Throw Contest

The Vernal Elks Lodge 2375 is hosting the National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest on Saturday December 8th at the Uintah Recreation Center. Local Career Fair Guides Students to Fulfilling Jobs

The Roosevelt Junior High School hosted a Career Fair for its students on Wednesday, December 5th. Over six hundred and fifty students were signed up to attend. Students attended sessions based on an interest profile to determine what kind of job would fit their profile, be it social, artistic, conventional, enterprising, investigative, or realistic.
