KNEU 1250Crews are battling a fire that started Monday in Duchesne County. According to Utah Fire Info, federal and local firefighters responded to the Abbott Fire in Duchesne County. “The fire is burning in the right fork of Indian Canyon about 10 miles southwest of Duchesne,” shares Utah Fire Info.
Uintah County issued a press release on Monday sharing that the Commission approved the addition of $5.1 million dollars in federal CARES Act funds to the current fiscal year budget. CARES stands for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security and the CARES Act monies are expected to be received by the county in three installments.

The Gusher Highway 40 construction project is moving forward at a steady pace. Paving will start on Monday, July 13th and will continue throughout the week. The construction crews will be working Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.

Thursday saw the biggest single day jump of COVID-19 cases reported in the TriCounty Health District. The Thursday COVID-19 Situational Update on www.tricountyhealth.com shows that the total of confirmed cases for the entire TriCounty Health District went from 52 on Wednesday to 62 on Thursday.
