Uintah County Adopts 2017 General Plan

The Uintah County Commission approved adoption of the 2017 General Plan during Monday’s Commission meeting. City Planner Matt Cazier presented the plan to those in attendance stating that they have been going through this process for a little more than a year and that the resource management plan, which is part of the General Plan, was approved in August to meet a state deadline.

Ute Tribe Honored at U of U Football Game

The Ute Tribe was honored at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday. University of Utah football took on San Jose State, winning 54 to 16. The Ute Tribe performance has become an annual highlight for many fans of University of Utah Athletics.

Men in Black Pull “Monumentally Sized” Pen Through Northeastern Utah

Not to be mistaken for two missionaries on a service project or a pair of agents from Men in Black, a duo of German artists have come to northeastern Utah to launch a very unique art project. The two men and their giant ballpoint pen, passed through Vernal last week as they walk a route of about 250 miles through northeastern Utah, northwestern Colorado, and southern Wyoming.
