Ask any parent who knows, the loss of a child is a tragedy you never fully recover from. As a service to rural families, Primary Children’s Hospital is hosting a grief support day for Basin families coming up next month. “[The hospital] received a grant to provide grief support for families in the Uintah Basin who have experienced the death of an infant, child, or adolescent,” shares event coordinator Leigh Morse. “This program has been crafted over several months with the help of professional therapists, music therapists and art therapists.” Morse says they have also partnered with local agencies and bereaved parents in the Basin to help spread the word. The free grief support day will be held Saturday, October 14th, from 9am to 5pm at the Vernal City building. Resources are available for children, teens, and adults. For more information, call
