The April board meeting held last week for the Uintah Recreation Special Service District included visuals of a Master Plan update with exciting possibilities. Bart Jensen, Manager for Jones and DeMille Engineering, presented a preliminary draft of master plan development of the Kay Memorial Park on the property adjacent to the Uintah Community Center.

Employment in Utah continues to grow with the current job count in the state at 1,650,800. The data shows that county employment levels have seen some increase in the Uintah Basin.
Uintah County Attorney’s Office Gives Snapshot Of Cases Processed Over 4 Years
Responding to questions from the public about caseloads and criminal trends, the Uintah County Attorney’s Office has provided a snapshot of cases processed over the past four years. In 2018, the total District Court cases received was 993 containing 2,577 charges and the total Juvenile cases received was 178 containing 331 charges.

Anglers Asked To Keep Small Lake Trout To Help Fishery In Flaming Gorge
In an effort to help the Flaming Gorge fishery, anglers are being asked to keep any lake trout under 25 inches in length caught at the reservoir. The reason is simple. If the population of smaller lake trout is not reduced, the salmon and rainbow trout populations will suffer.
