Responding to questions from the public about caseloads and criminal trends, the Uintah County Attorney’s Office has provided a snapshot of cases processed over the past four years. In 2018, the total District Court cases received was 993 containing 2,577 charges and the total Juvenile cases received was 178 containing 331 charges. In 2019, the total District Court cases received was 991 containing 2,995 charges and the total Juvenile cases received was 143 containing 314 charges. In 2020, the total District Court cases received was 884 containing 2,388 charges and the total Juvenile cases received was 149 containing 235 charges. In 2021, the total District Court cases received was 819 containing 2,325 charges and the total Juvenile cases received was 156 containing 262 charges. Of the cases in 2021, 168 were property crimes and 230 were person crimes.
