Tuesday’s storm certainly brought much needed moisture. It also provided an opportunity for a local church congregation to come together to handle some side effects from the storm. Ashley Valley Calvary Chapel on 500 North in Vernal experienced flooding in several of the church’s rooms. “What began as an unexpected flood at Ashley Valley Calvary Chapel quickly turned into a powerful example of community and faith in action,” shared an announcement from AVCC. “After water began flooding areas of the church building [on Tuesday], Chris sent out an SOS message on Facebook asking for help. Within just 15 minutes, many members of our church family began arriving at the church doors carrying towels, shop vacs, fans, and cleaning supplies in hand.” What a great example of unity and selfless service for the community to follow!
