This month Ashley Regional Medical Center celebrates eight decades of serving patients in the Uintah Basin and the surrounding areas, shares a press release issued Monday. Ashley Regional Medical Center has been a part of the Uintah Basin since 1941. The hospital was originally named Uintah Basin Hospital and was owned and operated by Uintah County until 1982 when it was sold to HCA and renamed Ashley Valley Medical Center. In 1999, the hospital became part of LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. and rebranded in 2009 to Ashley Regional Medical Center. In 1947, a smaller version of the current hospital was built on the present hospital site, and portions of that building have been incorporated into the current structure…“Even with all that has happened in the past year, our team is working tirelessly to provide the high-quality care that has earned the hospital multiple accolades over the past few years,” shares CEO Wes Taylor. “…Ashley Regional has a lot of history serving this community. I look forward to being part of its future.” The entire press release can be viewed on www.ashleyregional.com/news.
