The Boating Access Grant Program administered by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has announced that about $1.5 million dollars has been approved to fund 11 boating access projects in 2027, several of which are located in northeastern Utah. "Our lakes and reservoirs offer precious opportunities for families and visitors to connect with and recreate on the water," shares Ty Hunter, Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation Boating Program Manager. "By investing in these grants, we are proactively keeping our boating infrastructure sustainable — it's responsible stewardship. We are committed to improving access and safety for future generations of boaters." The projects that were funded in northeastern Utah include the Green River Bridgeport ramp engineering, efforts to control and remove invasive Eurasian watermilfoil at Pelican Lake, Strawberry Reservoir Soldier Creek ramp construction, and Flaming Gorge boating infrastructure operations and maintenance.
