On site medical services are open once again in Daggett County after a change in provider at the Manila Clinic. Uintah Basin Healthcare announced over the summer that they would no longer be providing clinical services within Daggett County. Uintah Basin Healthcare had been in partnership with Daggett County since 2008, providing medical services on site in the Daggett County owned building. This week, Ashley Regional Medical Group issued a press release, announcing healthcare services opening at the existing Manila Clinic location. The partnership follows Daggett County's request for proposals for management and operation of healthcare services within the county and the clinic will remain a Daggett County owned facility. Ashley Regional is offering primary care and walk-in clinic services Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is open as of today, October 9th. "Having healthcare close to home makes a meaningful difference, especially in rural communities," shares Wayne Gatewood, Physician Services Director at Ashley Regional Medical Group. "We look forward to caring for patients in Manila and supporting the long-term health needs of the Daggett County community." For now, services will remain in the old clinic space until construction is complete on the new Daggett County building.
