West Nile Virus Final Season Report

Some West Nile Virus activity has continued to be reported in the state, though activity in northeastern Utah has been minimal. According to the latest data from the Utah Department of Health, there have been 50 positive human cases of West Nile Virus in Utah this year but none of those come from northeastern Utah. There have been 22 horses test positive for West Nile Virus, with 3 of those from Duchesne County. There have been 1,320 mosquito pools positive for West Nile Virus this year, with only 13 of those coming from Uintah County and 11 reported by the Ute Indian Tribe.
