An arrest was made last week in connection with the burglary of a livestock sale barn in Ballard. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Daniel Engle allegedly had direct involvement with the burglary during which the building was broken into and multiple powertools, electronics, check books, bank records, cash, a dump truck and a Polaris Side by Side were stolen. At the time of last week’s arrest, the dump truck, side by side, some of the powertools, and checkbooks had been recovered. The side by side was spray painted and the ignition was also damaged so the vehicle could be hot wired. Officers made contact with Daniel Engle at the Provo AP&P office on May 7th during which he was placed under arrest and transported to the Uintah County Jail. 43-year-old Daniel Patrick Engle has been charged with 3rd Degree Felony Burglary and two counts of 2nd Degree Felony Theft of an Operable Motor Vehicle for the side by side and dump truck.
