The Vernal Chamber quarterly Outstanding Public Service Award has been presented to Lisa Ewell, the owner and operator of the Vernal Wendy’s restaurant. “Known for her strong work ethic and outgoing personality, Lisa has built lasting relationships in the community,” shares the Chamber announcement. “She truly never meets a stranger and can strike up a conversation anywhere. Beyond running a successful business, Lisa believes in making people feel valued both in and out of the workplace. She is especially passionate about community involvement.” Lisa offers support for the Vernal Oilers hockey team, Special Olympics, the Torch Run, and Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley, and has spent years serving in youth programs through church and local activities.
