Hard work and careful planning have certainly paid off for an impressive local high school Senior who will be a triple graduate by the end of this month. What does it mean to be a triple graduate? Dean John first walked in the USU commencement ceremony on April 25th where he was recognized for completing his Associate of Science with a total of 68 university credits. On May 7th, Dean graduated from UBTech College with his 4th Certification, which includes Automotive Technology and Diesel Maintenance Technician. Finally, when Dean graduates from Uintah High School on May 29th, it will be his 3rd graduation ceremony in just over a month, earning his high school diploma and Automotive Career & Technology Pathway honors. Dean John is also the 2026 Utah Skills USA Gold Medal winner in Collision Repair Technology and qualifier for National Skills USA in June 2026. Dean John utilized USU Concurrent Enrollment and UBTech transfer credits to accomplish his academic goal of receiving his USU Associate’s degree while still in high school. His academics and professional pursuits will be on hold for a few years while he serves a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Argentina Bahia Blanca starting this July.
