2018 Northern Ute Pow-Wow Celebration Underway

The 50th Annual Ute Tribe Pow-Wow Celebration is underway today in Fort Duchesne. The four day event is a favorite tradition for many locals as well as visitors that travel from outside the area. The Pow-Wow Grand Entry times begin at 7:00pm Thursday and Friday with the Grand Entry at 1:00pm and 7:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. The Pow-Wow Parade begins at 10:00am on Saturday morning. Registrations are still being accepted. The Pow-Wow Bowling Tournament is on Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $20 dollars per event, $80 dollars per team, $40 dollars for doubles and $20 dollars for singles. The Pow-Wow events will also include a half marathon on Sunday hosted by the Painted Horse Diabetes Prevention Program.
