Uintah Basin residents are busy beautifying their yards and properties but in a drought that can be tricky. A class being highlighted by the Department of Natural Resources is aimed at helping all Slow the Flow in a way that will qualify them for a special rebate program. The Central Utah Water Conservancy District will be hosting a “Creating Waterwise Park Strips” class next month and while it is being held in Orem there is an option to attend online. It is for those that are interested in switching out the lawn in their park strip (the area between the sidewalk and the road) to be more water efficient. The class will help people reclaim the park strip, discover plants that do well in park strips, and learn proper park strip maintenance. Attendance, even online, will qualify students for the Utah Water Savers Rebate Program. Visit the Utah Department of Natural Resources Facebook and click on the post from Localscapes.  The class takes place Tuesday, June 7th at 7:00pm.
