Voter Turnout High for Primary Election/Audits Held Today

Audits of Tuesday’s Primary Elections are being held today. In Uintah County, the Primary Election audit is being held
at 9am
in the Clerk-Auditor’s Office and in Duchesne County the audit is being held
at 3pm
in the County Conference Room. Voter turnout was high for this Primary Election. Uintah County Clerk Auditor Mike Wilkins reported that voters reached an approximate 43% turnout on Tuesday, which was higher than the 2016 presidential year Primary. Duchesne County Clerk Auditor JoAnn Evans reported that they reached almost a 45% voter turnout. The turnout for Duchesne County during the Presidential Election was 43% making this year an excellent turnout.

Both Uintah and Duchesne Counties will hold Canvassing in the coming weeks. Duchesne County’s Canvas will be held
at noon on July 3rd
and Uintah County’s Canvas will be held
on July 9th at 2pm
in the Commission Chambers.
