Uintah County has distributed the ‘Official Voter Information Pamphlet’ for the proposed change in form of county government. Uintah County voters will have the opportunity to vote For or Against Proposition #9 on their General Election ballots this November, which asks, “Shall Uintah County adopt the alternate form of government known as the Council-Manager Form of Government as recommended in the proposed optional plan?” The voter pamphlet aims to educate voters on this Proposition as they prepare to vote. In addition to a copy of the Proposed Optional Plan, the pamphlet includes an ‘Impartial Summary’ by Deputy Uintah County Civil Attorney Loren W. Anderson; an ‘Initial Fiscal and Legal Impact Statement’ by Clerk-Auditor Michael Wilkins; a ‘Written Argument For’ Proposition #9 by Anna Billings, Brian Gorum, Dan Dilsaver, Jo Gardner, and Nolan Jackson; a ‘Written Argument Against’ Proposition #9 by Mike Mckee, Kevin Van Tassell, Jeff Merrell, Darlene Burns, and Kim McDonald; and concludes with rebuttal statements from each group. The Official Voter Information Pamphlet is available on the Uintah County website with the 2026 General Election Information.
