A Smithsonian exhibit is now on display at the Museum of Uintah County. The ‘Voices & Votes: Democracy in America’ display is traveling to five Utah communities over the next year with the display currently at the Museum of Uintah County through October 17th. Alycia Luke, Exhibit Curator at the Museum of Uintah County, is coordinating ‘Voices & Votes’ in Vernal. “We can't wait to hear the unique perspectives and stories that our friends and neighbors across the Uinta Basin will share,” shares Luke. “We hope you’ll find pieces of your own family’s story reflected here and see how our vibrant community connects to the broader American story. Our local companion exhibits are heartfelt celebrations of the unique people and places that make our home such a special part of our nation’s history.” The display is possible thanks to the Museum of Uintah County partnering with Utah Humanities and the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program.
