Matt Tate is the recipient of this quarter’s Vernal Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Public Service Award. “For more than two decades, Matt has made serving others a priority, giving countless hours to families, children, and organizations throughout the Uintah Basin,” shares the Vernal Chamber announcement. “Through Santa’s Angels, Matt and his family have spent 24 years helping make Christmas brighter for local families in need. In 2025 alone, the organization helped 112 families, including 62 full Christmas adoptions and 50 partial adoptions. His service has also included restoring bicycles for local children, volunteering as Santa Claus, serving on community boards, supporting Night to Shine, and continually stepping up wherever help is needed. Matt’s dedication is a powerful example of what public service looks like: quietly showing up, giving back, and making a lasting difference in the lives of others.” Congratulations to Matt Tate on this well deserved recognition!
