Vernal Theatre: LIVE …

Vernal Theatre: LIVE has another first coming up, a show with an all female cast. Auditions for Steel Magnolias are being held tonight and tomorrow at the theatre and all women are welcome. The play is based on the true story about the bond of six women. “This show is special because it is funny, witty, and serious at the same time,” shares show director Amber Harrison. “There will be moments of honest tension, times where you will roll over laughing, or giggle at how closely you relate to one or even all of these women.” For those reserved about auditioning, it may be comforting to know that the show is not a musical so there is no pressure to sing in front of strangers. “Auditions will be fun and easy,” shares Harrison. “Just come in and read a bit from the script and do a monologue if you have one prepared. If you have ever thought it might be fun to try out for a play or learn about acting on a stage or even if you just need an outlet, come down and audition.” For details on auditions, visit
