Businesses and even residences throughout the Vernal area proudly display dinosaur statues and Vernal City has issued a decorating challenge as part of the America 250 celebrations. “As part of Freedom Fest and America 250, dinosaur owners across the area are invited to take part in our ‘Stars, Stripes, Dinosaurs’ decorating contest,” shares the Vernal City announcement. “This year’s theme is American Icons. Transform your dinosaur into a patriotic masterpiece inspired by historic figures, national symbols, and iconic moments in American history.” The winning dinosaur will receive a $250 cash prize. Sign up by June 10 and submit the final photo submission by June 26.
