The Ute Girls basketball team hosted the Timpanogos Timberwolves last Tuesday, Kenadie Maughan scored 27 points and Jana Young added 10 as the Utes kept it close throughout, but coming up just short in the 67-64 loss.
Friday they hosted the Mountain View Bruins. The Utes trailed most the way, but buckled down in the fourth quarter for the 49-44 come from behind victory, Maughan scored 20 with Jaevry Elison hitting a key three-pointer down the stretch for 10 points.
The Utes host Provo Tuesday and travel to Summit Academy Thursday to finish region play.
