The 13th ranked Ute boy’s soccer team started the 4A tournament last Friday hosting the Payson Lions.
The Lions struck early scoring two goals in the first period, with the Utes scoring one. The Utes tied the score in the in the second, then scored the winner in the second overtime for the 3-2 victory. Paul Sturko scored all three goals with two assists from Jair Perry and one from Trevor Reynolds.
The Utes head to the St. George area Tuesday to take on the fourth ranked Crimson Cliffs Mustangs.
