Do you have interest in Utah’s wildlife? The Utah’s Division of Wildlife Resources is looking to fill three more positions to the Wildlife Regional Advisory Council. Five RACs were created in the 1990s by Utah State Legislature so that there could be more public input from citizens. By having feedback on a grassroots level citizens can contribute to wildlife management, rules and regulations. Each RAC has 12 to 15 members who represent various interest groups. The councils have the tasks to hear Utah Division of Wildlife Resources input, including recommendations, biological data, and information regarding the effects of wildlife, gather information from staff, the public, and government and make advisory recommendations to the Wildlife Board. The three open positions are one non-consumptive user, one sportsman, and one agricultural rep.
