The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation announced last month more than $2.1 million in grant funding toward 24 projects in the state through its latest Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Grant cycle. The funding will expand motorized recreation opportunities across Utah, support trail improvements, and so much more, but what’s the secret to being awarded funding for these projects? In large part it comes down to the quality of your Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant application. The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation is hitting the road this month to bring the 2026 Grant Workshop around the state and they are starting with a stop in Duchesne. The workshop is for those applying for outdoor recreation grant funding and gets into building project budgets, strengthening your project narrative, and understanding what the evaluation committee is looking for in a grant application. They kick off in Duchesne at the Centennial Event Center on November 16th from 10am to 2pm. This is their only stop in northeastern Utah so all in the region are encouraged to register as space is limited.
