Recreation projects in northeastern Utah were among the recipients awarded in the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation 2026 grant cycle. Over $19 million dollars was split between 81 awarded applicants from across the state. In Uintah County, $200,000 was awarded to Uintah Special Service District 1 for the Ashley Community All Abilities Park project and $590,030 was awarded to Uintah County for Phase 2 of the Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata. In Daggett County, $170,000 was awarded to Daggett County for the Centennial Park Restoration project. In Duchesne County, $500,000 was awarded to Roosevelt City for the next phase of the Cottonwood Creek Trail project, $200,000 was awarded to Tabbey Valley Parks & Recreation Special Service District for Phase 2 of the Tabby Park Centennial Trail, and $16,000 was awarded to Sunrock Foundation LLC for a Low Rope Agility Course.
