The list of abuse and violations tied to the Daggett County Jail scandal are outlined in a report from the Department of Corrections. Deseret News shares that the final report goes into detail about misbehavior of jail staff based on interviews with employees and inmates as well as surveillance video and using the internal memory device on the Taser used. Inmates were pulled from the Daggett County Jail after the allegations of abuse surfaced in 2017. In addition to using the Taser on several occasions, Joshua Cox also threatened inmates to be quiet about the abuse that had taken place. The report also states that correction officers slept during the night shifts, switched the monitor in the control room to view satellite TV during their shift, and offered special favors to inmates who would do them favors like washing their vehicles.
