Mudslides have continued to be an issue over Indian Canyon, the latest occurrence happening on Tuesday evening. According to the Uintah Basin Communications Center, US-191 was closed in both directions due to a mudslide at milepost 281. UDOT crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the roadway. There was initially no estimated time for reopening and travelers in the area had to wait while signs were placed letting travelers know US-191 was closed and to use an alternate route if possible. Both directions of travel were eventually reopened on Tuesday evening.
